Yehezkiel 3:17

3:17 “Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman ¹  for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you must give them a warning from me.

Yehezkiel 23:42

23:42 The sound of a carefree crowd accompanied her, ²  including all kinds of men; ³  even Sabeans ⁴  were brought from the desert. The sisters ⁵  put bracelets on their wrists and beautiful crowns on their heads.

Yehezkiel 24:23

24:23 Your turbans will be on your heads and your sandals on your feet; you will not mourn or weep, but you will rot ⁶  for your iniquities ⁷  and groan among yourselves.

Yehezkiel 33:4

33:4 but there is one who hears the sound of the trumpet yet does not heed the warning. Then the sword comes and sweeps him away. He will be responsible for his own death. ⁸

[23:42]  ⁴ tn An alternate reading is “drunkards.” Sheba is located in the area of modern day Yemen.

[24:23]  ⁶ tn The same verb appears in 4:17 and 33:10.

[24:23]  ⁷ tn Or “in your punishment.” The phrase “in/for [a person’s] iniquity/punishment” occurs fourteen times in Ezekiel: here; 3:18, 19; 4:17; 7:13, 16; 18:17, 18, 19, 20; 33:6, 8, 9; 39:23. The Hebrew word for “iniquity” may also mean the “punishment” for iniquity or “guilt” of iniquity.
